“The NEW H.I.” – HUMAN INTONATION Brand Launch & High Fashion Show
thought – conscience – life

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The evening of Wednesday 2 July 2008 was filled with electricity as NEW premium apparel brand, HUMAN INTONATION TM (“H.I.”) , brought down the house at the world renowned Knitting Factory in New York City’s Tribeca. The launch of “The NEW H.I.” from creative director Verneda Adele White showcased a full force fashion show staging the new fashion t-shirts and graphic designs for both men and women inspired by social issues such as the effort to continue education among those most affected by the unrest in Darfur, Sudan, programs catering to youth and minorities HIV/AIDS prevention, and the volunteer efforts to truly re-build the Gulf Coast following Hurricane Katrina.

As a fashion apparel brand, HUMAN INTONATION is dedicated to creating social awareness and raising funds for a number of emerging non-profits such as Hands On New Orleans and the Darfur Peace & Development Organization, which seek to address some of today’s pertinent social and human rights issues in a very tangible way.

HUMAN INTONATION is largely passionate about creating social awareness around reputable growing non-profit organizations that may not be receiving the heightened media attention needed in order to keep their causes in the forefront of the public’s mind; consequently impacting the level of contribution the non-profit receives from the community. “We want to use apparel from HUMAN INTONATION to broach the conversation about how we can make a contribution to these causes and organizations whether monetarily or through volunteerism”, says creative director Verneda White.

Verneda White also used “The NEW H.I.” - HUMAN INTONATION Brand Launch & High Fashion Show as another opportunity to raise donations for the brand’s non-profit partner Hands On New Orleans (HONO), presenting HONO representative Jared Shaw with a donation of $1,000.

“The NEW H.I.” – HUMAN INTONATION Brand Launch & High Fashion Show picked up several prominent sponsors including Elasta QP Hair Care, SoNu Beverages, Sydney’s Sweets, Embroidery Queen of New Orleans and the NYC Dept. of Health . The shoes for the fashion show were provided by Michael Antonio Footwear Group and t he first hour open bar was sponsored by Crop Organic Vodka. The event was backed by a live performance by up-and-coming hip-hop artists True2Life Music.

Each HUMAN INTONATION t-shirt in the product line dedicates 15% of the proceeds from each sale to one of the brand’s non-profit partners. In addition, HUMAN INTONATION is manufactured under fair labor practices with the ultimate goal of producing the entire line from 100% organic cotton and/or environmentally conscious materials. The t-shirts are sold in unique packaging with special hangtags that provide information about the non-profit associated with the t-shirt along with how the purchaser can take steps to volunteer.

HUMAN INTONATION is here to truly cater to those who crave fashion with a conscience and patrons can look forward to the learning more about HUMAN INTONATION as the brand’s website is slated to go live August 2008.
